WORKOUT OF THE DAY

Skill: Split Jerk ( empty bar or light weights)

Strength: Clean & Jerk 7×2 (must use split or do 3×5 push press from rack without the clean) progressive weights

WOD: Death by Jerk
70% of C&J weight or Push Press weight

  1. C&J 7×2: 95/135/165/185/190/195/200: All split jerk. Struggled with feet at 200. My sweet spot is probably right at 185 with sound form w/split.

    For WOD finished 7 rounds plus 6. Used 140 lbs. Gassed hard at last round. Heavy towards end.

  2. C&J 7×2: 95/115/125/135/145/155/155: All split jerks. Forgot knee brace like a schmuck. Was wiped out this am. Struggled to get out of bed and out of the house by 5:15 to make it to the gym by 5:30.

    WOD: 10 rounds at 115 lbs. Didn’t even think of lifting the bar for the 11th round. I was wiped out. Came home and was so tired.
