Strength: Snatch 3-3-3-2-2-1
15 Jumping Squats (45# bar)
Snatch: Worked on squatting w/low weight and having flexibility issues. Worked up to 115 at last three sets working strictly on form w/out squatting. A bit discouraged at flexibility and must start doing something about it.
WOD TIME: 13:01
Focused on keeping pacing of runs together. Finished first 400 in 1:50. Second and third in 2:00 and just over 2:00. Focused on pull ups and wanted to get two sets of 5 each round. Did 5-3-2 for first two rounds then 7-3 for last. Was very pleased as pull ups have been my nemesis for quite some time.
Snatch: Worked up to 105 and tried 115 and felt my knee buckle. I quickly put the weight down and realized I’m not trying to be a hero. I put up 105 3 times and was satisfied.
WOD TIME: 11:39
I didn’t full squat but went to about 15 degrees away from parallel. That was enough for me combined with jumping squats. I was happy about my runs with a bum knee. Felt ok but got better during rounds 2 and 3. The best part for me is that I got through pullups unbroken all three rounds. I must be getting stronger in a week’s span because when I did Helen last week I couldn’t do unbroken all 3 rounds. Was happy. I also was very close to not going this morning due to fatigue and fasting yesterday but got up and did it anyway. Tomorrow is a 5k run. Yowzers.
