Last day of week one.  We wrote our own workout today focusing on our goal of reducing our body fat which means working on the one thing we both dislike:  CARDO…while still maintaining a balance of strength training.  Mike is battling an MCL injury, so he is reducing his weight and modifying his cardio appropriately.  Speaking of body fat, yesterday we went to N.I.F.S. to get our body fat measurements in the Bod Pod.  Check out the Track the Fat page.  Humbling to say the least.

Today’s Workout
4 Rounds for time of
10 Clean and Jerk 135 lbs.
800 meter run

    Tough workout. Weight got heavy quickly. Worked on keeping a pace and sticking to it especially on the run. Working hard on becoming more efficient running at longer distances. Averaged b/t 4:30-4:45 per 800. Had to cut up the C&J’s. First round was two sets of 5 dropped the bar finally at 8. Cut up the last three rounds of C&J into 3’s. Overall, a good way to end week one. Looking forward to recovering well with smart food and a rest day tomorrow.

    Was a tough one. Because of my knee I am limited in things I can do. I was thinking of doing 4 rounds of 1000m row but chopped it up into row, run, row, run. I used 105 lbs. The jerk’s were really hard on my knee but I got through it. Good stretch pre and post. All paleo today with bone broth.
